City of Anoka

The City of Anoka is seeking a Golf Course Spray Technician. This position will serve Spray Technician at Green Haven Golf Course; responsible for the safe and accurate application of fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides and herbicides to maintain the health and appearance of the golf course and landscape areas.

(9-Month Position: March 1st – November 30th)

Duties include but are not limited to assisting in performing skilled golf course maintenance tasks, record keeping and ensuring compliance regulations are followed, irrigation repairs, general golf course maintenance, seasonal staff training and supervision, daily course set-up, operating all related golf course equipment, calibration of spreaders and sprayers.

QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associates/Technical degree preferred.
  • Two years of golf course maintenance experience.
  • Minnesota Non-Commercial A & E Pesticide Applicators License, or ability to obtain within 60-days of hire.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Hours & Schedule:  9-Month Position: March 1st – November 30th

Approximately 35-40 hours per week. Work schedule varies based on course conditions, weather and needs of golf course. Hours may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays

Starting wage: $26.50/hr to $27.50/hr DOQ. This is a non-benefit earning position.
