Parks & Streets Maintenance Position

The City of Anoka is seeking to fill a position in our Public Services Department; Parks & Streets Maintenance I or Maintenance II (Dependent upon qualifications of candidates).  This is a full-time, benefit earning, union position.

This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance on streets, storm sewers, dam, parks, playgrounds and other City property.

Maintenance I:  Must have a minimum of one year employment experience performing manual labor tasks in a similar working situation, including turf maintenance, landscaping, and street maintenance and/or irrigation systems.  Experience in operation and backing of a pickup plus a trailer, 1-ton truck with a dump box, or single axel dump truck.  Experience within the past 12 months. Must have the ability to obtain a MN CDL Class B with tanker and air brakes endorsement prior to moving on to a Maintenance II position.

Maintenance II:  Must have a minimum two years of employment experience performing manual labor tasks in a similar working situation, including turf maintenance, landscaping, and street maintenance and/or irrigation systems.  Two years of employment experience operating a skid steer and employment experience operation a single-axel or tandem axel truck.  Experience within the past 6 months.  Must have a MN CDL Class B with tanker and air brakes endorsement.

Hourly Wage Range DOQ:    Maintenance I is $25.89 – $26.89
Maintenance II is $30.33 – $31.33
