Special Education Paraprofessional – Modern Montessori Charter School

Description: Modern Montessori is a small school with approximately 200 students in preschool through eighth grade. We strive to keep a community feel amongst both our staff and students.

Modern Montessori Charter School is seeking Special Education Paraprofessionals to assist with the school’s educational program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting both academic and behavioral needs. The Special Education paraprofessional reports to a licensed Special Education teacher, who will provide guidance and direction on specific job responsibilities based on the needs of current students.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree OR High school diploma or GED + Passing score on the ParaPro test or equivalent
• Ability and passion to work with students including those with disabilities
• Work effectively with an interdisciplinary team, while having the ability to work independently
• Work with school staff to provide support to students, in collaboration with teachers; and
• Participate in, and provide information for, team meetings related to student success and next actions
