The City of Anoka is seeking to fill (1) position in our Public Services Department, Parks & Streets. [Hiring: (1) Maintenance I or Maintenance II / DOQ].

This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance on streets, storm sewers, dam, parks, playgrounds and other City properties.

Maintenance I: Must have a minimum of (1) year employment experience performing manual labor tasks in a similar working situation, including turf maintenance, landscaping, and street maintenance and/or irrigation systems.  Experience in operation and backing of a pickup plus a trailer, 1-ton truck with a dump box, or single axel dump truck.  Experience within the past (12) months. Must have the ability to obtain an MN CDL Class B with tanker and air brakes endorsement within the first (6) months & prior to moving on to a Maintenance II position.

Maintenance II: Must have (1) year in Maintenance I, Parks/Streets with the City of Anoka or equivalent position with other City, County, or State, or equivalent experience. Must have a minimum of (2) years of employment experience performing manual labor tasks in a similar working situation, including turf maintenance, landscaping, and street maintenance and/or irrigation systems.  Two (2) years of employment experience operating a skid steer and employment experience operation a single-axel or tandem axel truck.  Experience within the past (12) months.  Must have an MN CDL Class B with tanker and air brakes endorsement.

Hourly Wage Range / DOQ: Maintenance I – $26.76 – $27.76
Maintenance II – $31.35 – $32.35

NOTE: 2026 Wages are not available, but will increase
